Cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrencies are digital assets designed to work as a medium of exchange. Unlike traditional currencies issued by governments, cryptocurrencies are decentralized and use cryptography to secure their transactions. Bitcoin, the most well-known cryptocurrency, was the first of its kind.
Digital tokens
Digital tokens are units of data representing ownership or access rights within a particular blockchain ecosystem. They can be used for various purposes, such as representing shares in a company, granting access to a service, or serving as in-game currency. Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) are a crowdfunding mechanism where companies issue and sell digital tokens to raise capital for their projects.
Blockchain
Blockchain technology is the underlying framework for many cryptocurrencies and tokens. It's a distributed ledger that records transactions across many computers. This decentralized nature makes blockchains highly secure and transparent.
